A Financing Statement (Form UCC1) is filed to perfect a security interest in named collateral
and establishes priority in case of debtor default or bankruptcy.
This office will only accept the National Financing Statement (UCC1) and the National
Financing Statement Amendment (UCC3) and the California revised National filing forms, which black out the social
security number boxes. The Addendum (UCC1Ad and UCC3Ad) and the Additional Party forms (UCC1AP and UCC3AP) should
only be completed and submitted with the UCC1 or UCC3 if they are needed to record additional debtors and/or secured
parties.
This National Financing Statement (Form UCC1) must be reproduced in a format prescribed by the Uniform Commercial
Code, including printing on 8 1/2" x 11" white paper. Submittals that do not conform to the specifications
will be rejected.
Please send the original document only. You will automatically receive an acknowledgement copy of the accepted
document and an acknowledgment letter. You only need to send an additional copy if you are requesting a search using
the National UCC 1 form. You need to send additional copies for each debtor name searched, additional copies should
be marked "Search Copy."
